bumped into our local resident pop star Bobby Gillespie again the other day, waiting for the 38 on Essex road. Last time i saw him was waiting for a tube at Highbury waiting to go to the hospital for a hand therapy session (not as rude as it sounds). Victoria line was down for ages and we ended up chatting for about 10 minutes about the tubes, its general crapness and various routes into town.

So this time - as he came towards me and we were clearly looking right at each other I gave him a quick 'alright mate' - he gave me a startled look back and walked away from the ticket machine like i was a stalkie?

in other pop star news saw Jarvis again at a CSS gig at the forum. Good fun, electric atmosphere and incredibly well received. The lead singer basically does brazilian electro running man dance moves crossed wih drama school enthusiasm. The name refers to a Beyonce song - Tired of being sexy. Jarvis played a song with them and afterwards was hanging with his entourage in the table next to us ( cheers mark) as we left he had just got back and nobody was talking to him so we 'scuse us''d and brushed past - he looked all lonely and stood on his own. : (
